Today marks 100 days since the Supreme Court struck down relevant portions of the Defense of Marriage Act, thus allowing same-sex couples to apply for immigration benefits. Since that day our office has assisted over 100 individuals in same sex marriages and partnerships by way of filing applications for adjustment of status, fiancé visas and immigrant visa petitions to bring spouses from abroad. All applications that have been adjudicated have been approved. Congratulations and thank you to our clients for your bravery in paving the way for future couples.
