TRAVEL WARNING

TRAVEL WARNING: Trump has issued an Executive Order Implementing a Ban on Admission to The U.S. of Individual from Seven Muslim-Majority Countries. Processing of immigration applications may also be affected.

Individuals from the 7 countries specified in the Executive Order are advised not to travel outside the United States without prior consultation with an immigration attorney. The 7 countries are: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen. The ban is for 90 days but could be extended or shortened. If you are not a U.S. citizen and you are from one of these countries and travel abroad you may be denied entry upon return. Permanent residents of the United States (LPRs) were detained at airports in the days following the announcement of the ban. DHS has since stated that LPRs should be admitted but LPRs from the affected countries are advised to speak to an attorney before travel outside of the United States.

The ban may also affect the processing of applications at USCIS for individuals from these countries who are inside the United States. Media have reported that CIS has been instructed not to issue decisions on applications of individuals from countries on the list. These reports have not been confirmed. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
